London, St Giles High Street
After Vienna, it got time to go back to my most favorite Google headquarter in London, where – together with my Chinese friend Xiaochen – I wanted to create an artwork about the Queen herself to continue my series of strong female leaders and feminists. As we didn’t have so much space, I’ve created a portrait in the style of Frida Kahlo, very reduced, nearly cartoon like, but still recognisable.
We found a convex-concave glitter wall, next to the restaurant, where we tried to stick the paper pixels as best as possible. Well, at least it stuck there for a while, maybe a few days, but of course in the end the original Queen also survived this artwork.
